Old Books New Roses
I love to have flowers on the table, particularly roses in my
favorite crystal vase, what could bring more joy on a cold winter day
than old books and new roses?
Lily Song and Dew Drops
There is always something special about finding dew or rain drops on
flower petals, especially in bright sunlight. A welcoming of the warmth,
with a reminder of the life giving moisture.
Pink Rose Glow
The gentle texture of the rose petals seem to glow with a
gentle
energy
White Iris Gold
This is a tall bearded iris, one of the largest iris. This particular
iris is a choice from the original 500 varieties of iris we once had in
our gardens, it is also very hardy in our climate.
Rose Dreams in Pink
Roses are so romantic, just looking at the delicate petals brings
images of distant castles
Orange Iris Trio
For a few years we had display gardens open to the public. This
painting was inspired by the memory I had of one of our gardens when the
early delphiniums were starting to bloom and the last of the tall
bearded iris were still in bloom, a magic moment.
Chiffon Rose
In the middle of winter I often buy roses, they make me feel warm and
happy. Chiffon Rose is a portrait a of roses showing that warm cozy
feeling.
Garden Memories
Here is another painting of our gardens, well perhaps the delphiniums
wouldn't have been in full bloom while the iris were also at their peek.
But then paintings are a magic place where anything is possible. A
place you can travel to when you sit back relax and take a deep calming
breath.
